We started our company in Vancouver 20 years ago as three young entrepreneurs with strong values and ideas of what a catering business should be. Over the past two decades we have grown to become one of the largest and most successful companies in the Lower Mainland, in part because of these values.
We know our clients need a company they can trust and have confidence in, and one that will deliver a great guest experience. We know that strong business sense and positive word of mouth are key components in any successful business venture. Our optimistic attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction have helped develop us into a thriving company that is respected by customers, venues, suppliers, and within the industry as a whole.
The company has been growing ever since we started—we have celebrated numerous successes and overcome many hurdles. We have learned and advanced because of every one of these experiences.
One of our proudest experiences was being a part of the 2010 Olympics, where we successfully planned, prepared, and served more than 30,000 meals over a three-week period at six different venues. All facets of our company were deeply involved in providing outstanding service at each venue—an invaluable experience that bonded the team together and proved that we are a company that can do anything.
At the core of who we are as a company is the commitment to providing a well-rounded catering experience: delicious food, presented with style at a fair price. This formula has been the key to our success and has proven itself time and time again through the number of repeat customers that we have earned and retained. We have customers who have been loyal to us for over 18 years, and we have grown along with them.
We are community minded, supporting numerous local charities and non-profits through the provision of complimentary or lower cost catering, and donating prizes to auctions. It is important to us to be involved in the community in which we operate.
Twenty years ago when we first started the business, green was just a colour. Over the years it has come to mean so much more. We are very conscious of our eco-footprint and strive to reduce our imprint on the environment. We only use biodegradable and compostable paper products, and employ a substantial recycling and composting program. We are constantly looking for new ideas to assist us in achieving our goal of zero waste and being a conscientious business in our community.
From elegant weddings to black tie galas, a small corporate lunch for 8 to a complicated grand opening for 4000, we are confident that you will enjoy your catering experience with The Butler Did It Catering Company.
